Historic San Miguel  is home to one of California's oldest functioning missions. Come get a glimpse of how life once was in the North County.

As Paso Robles becomes more populated a few folks who prefer the rural life have been making San Miguel their home. San Miguel is a small tight knit community that enjoys simpler times. You can view this  community from Highway 101 just north of Paso Robles.

Mission San Miguel has one of the more extensive collections of ancient artifacts. Arrow heads, mortar and pestle, beads and art just brush the surface.

 Founded in 1797, the Mission was named for archangel St. Michael. The 16th mission in the 21 mission chain features a hand painted interior that has been meticulously preserved. A brochure with a map of a self-guided tour is available.
